Leveraging Community Engagement to Improve the Quality of Race and Ethnicity Data in Real-World Databases: Implementing the RAISE Action Framework (1/14/25)

RAISE facilitates opportunities to share, learn, and build capacity to identify and prioritize solutions to improve the inclusion of race and ethnicity data throughout the healthcare data continuum. Working with leaders across the health care ecosystem, RAISE launched a series of thoroughly researched and crafted workshops. Using a robust process of polling and review, the findings were summarized into the Action Framework to facilitate action toward improving the collection, curation, and exchange of race and ethnicity data.

During this webinar, we will cover learnings from the RAISE workshop series, including priorities and strategies to leverage community engagement to improve the collection, curation, and exchange of race & ethnicity data in real-world datasets. Presentations and panel discussions will answer the questions: Are race & ethnicity incomplete and why is it important to address this incompleteness? What can community organizations, pharma, data networks, academics, and government do to improve the reporting, collection, and exchange of race and ethnicity data? What is the low-hanging fruit? What are the challenges and steps that can be taken to tackle those challenges? ‎
